Professional method

1- Gently remove any excess stain using a clean cloth.
2- Use a damp cloth or sponge to apply a moderate amount of an appropriate cleaning solution, such as:
       + Isopropyl alcohol solution
       + Professional cleaning agents
+ Diluted bleach solution (1 part bleach to 4 parts water)
+ Wipe the stained area thoroughly and repeat the process if needed.
3- Finish by wiping the area with a clean, damp cloth to remove any residue, then allow the fabric to air dry.
Important Tip: Always ensure cleaner residue is removed promptly, as it may affect the product's appearance and reduce its lifespan.

Caution: Proper Care and Cleaning Guidelines for EkoTina® Fabrics

  • Test Before Use: Always test any cleaning method or agent on a small, hidden, and inconspicuous area before full application.
    - Use Suitable Tools: Select a clean, soft cloth or sponge that won’t fade. Avoid using rough or abrasive cleaning tools to protect the fabric surface.
    - Handle Alcohol Safely: Alcohol and alcohol-based cleaners are flammable. Use them with caution, applying only a small amount to minimize risks. Ensure the cleaning area is well-ventilated, wear protective gloves, and keep away from ignition sources.
    - Prompt Stain Removal: Remove common stains with clean water. For more stubborn stains like lipstick or markers, clean with isopropyl alcohol within 24 hours for best results. Regular monthly cleaning and maintenance are recommended to keep your Ekotina products looking their best.
    - Avoid Harmful Substances: Keep hydrocarbons, benzene solvents, and cyclosiloxane oligomers away from Ekotina fabrics to maintain their quality and durability.
    - Skip Surface Treatments: Do not apply any surface treatments, such as UV protectants, polishes, conditioners, or stain treatments, to Ekotina products.

Important Note on Cleaning EkoTina® Fabrics

The cleaners mentioned have been internally tested by EkoTina® to assess their chemical compatibility with our 100% silicone-coated fabrics. Unlike marine cleaners typically designed for PVC-coated (vinyl) fabrics, EkoTina® fabrics have unique properties that may react differently to these solutions. These cleaners are not recommended for general cleaning purposes.

Cleaning Tips

  • For common stains, refer to the EkoTina® Cleaning Guide for safe and effective cleaning methods.
  • Always perform a spot test on a small, inconspicuous area before applying any cleaner to EkoTina® materials.
  • Ensure no cleaner residue is left on the surface, as it may affect the fabric's appearance and longevity.
  • Refrain from using any polish or surface treatments on EkoTina® products.
